AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION
Drawing inspiration from the architectural structures of his own buildings, Jean Michel Wilmotte powerfully translates the lines of the structural framework onto the fabric. As a lover of materials, the architect’s design language comes to life, and the weave resembles a sketchbook. With its clean, contemporary lines, the collection invites you to gather around a beautiful table with a unique identity. Let’s join the Club!
INSPIRATION
Through composition and the balance of forms and colors, the Wilmotte & Industries design studio strives to rediscover the object’s inherent character and the sensuality of the material.
The exploration of Jacquard was inspired by the architect’s identity, his artistic sensibility, and his chromatic universe. He naturally reconnects with the French art of weaving, which he had already passionately embraced in the 1980s and whose technical nuances and language he has fully mastered.
The patterns on the tablecloths and napkins reflect his projects. The warp and weft threads of the Jacquard interweave with precision and subtlety to sketch out the geometric pattern. Thus, we find the same constructive gesture in both the architectural structure of the building and the weave of the Jacquard fabric; the two echo and harmonize to create an intimate, contemporary, and private world.
