MASTERS OF LINEN®

European linen, from fibre to fabric

At Le Jacquard Français, every fibre counts, and linen holds a very special place.

We have chosen Masters of Linen®-certified linen, guaranteeing 100% European traceability, from field to weaving. Grown mainly in France, Belgium and the Netherlands, this locally sourced linen is a natural material cultivated without artificial irrigation.

According to analyses carried out with La Belle Empreinte, making one linen napkin saves an average of 565 litres of blue water compared with a conventional cotton napkin.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

Certified peace of mind

Because household linen is part of everyday life, we pay particular attention to its quality and safety.

Our products are tested to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, guaranteeing the absence of substances harmful to health. They also comply with the European REACH regulation, which governs the use of chemical substances to protect consumers and the environment.

In the same spirit of high standards, our collections are developed without PFAS, the perfluorinated substances commonly used in the textile industry for their water-repellent properties but now recognised for their persistence in the environment.

Commitments that reflect our determination to offer creations that combine quality, durability and respect for health.

La Belle Empreinte

Understanding the impact of each creation

To better understand the environmental impact of its creations, Le Jacquard Français works with La Belle Empreinte, a consultancy specialising in product life cycle assessment.

Using this methodology, we assess several environmental indicators, including blue water consumption, carbon footprint and the main stages contributing to the impact of our textiles. This data helps us steer our choices of materials, design and manufacturing towards more responsible solutions.
