WE DO CARE

A responsible approach driven by concrete commitments

Since 1888, Le Jacquard Français has combined textile savoir-faire, innovation and the French art of living. Our commitment reflects a constant determination to preserve resources, value human savoir-faire and design creations made to last.

Our approach is built around three commitments: designing more sustainable products, valuing human savoir-faire and developing partnerships.

Preserving resources, innovating with high standards

Choices guided by sustainability

We favour natural materials and develop creations designed to reduce their environmental impact throughout their life cycle. Our products are tested to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, comply with the European REACH regulation and are developed without PFAS, as part of our commitment to protecting health and the environment.

Finally, we guide our customers in caring for their creations to preserve their quality and longevity, convinced that the most sustainable product is often the one you keep for a long time.

Reinventing materials

We are continually evolving our processes and manufacturing methods to gradually reduce the water impact and emissions associated with our production.

The same standards shape the way we design our products: placed motifs that minimise offcuts, single-material items that make recycling easier, and a constant search for more sustainable solutions.

They are embodied, too, in Re-Fil, our yarn made from 50% recycled fibres sourced from our own weaving offcuts – an innovation developed in our Manufacture to give materials a new life.

Nothing is lost, everything is transformed

At our Manufacture in Gérardmer, production offcuts, end-of-line items and seconds are reused, transformed or upcycled to extend their use and limit textile waste.

This approach continues through our factory outlets, private sales and second-hand offer, which allow our creations to carry on their story beyond their first use.

We also work to optimise our packaging by reducing its weight and the materials used, to limit its impact throughout its life cycle.

Keeping savoir-faire alive

Rooted in the Vosges since 1888, our Manufacture helps preserve local employment and pass on unique textile savoir-faire to future generations through training and support for our teams.

This commitment is recognised in particular by the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company, EPV) label, awarded in 2010, which distinguishes French companies with outstanding savoir-faire.

Because performance also depends on people, we are committed to fostering a caring, inclusive and safe working environment, built on respect, diverse backgrounds and the sharing of knowledge.

A simple conviction, today and tomorrow

Our CSR approach rests on a simple conviction: to protect the environment, value people and keep a savoir-faire of excellence alive, today and tomorrow.
