Colour has always been at the heart of Le Jacquard Français's identity. Each collection is the result of extensive colour research: between 40 and 60 shades are developed every season, enriching a palette of more than 600 exclusive hues created by the Maison since its founding.

This richness rests on a perfect mastery of materials. Our long-staple cotton and Masters of Linen® linen yarns are selected for their quality, their evenness and their ability to reveal the full depth of colour.

Before weaving, the yarns are dyed with indanthrene dyes, also known as “colourfast” dyes. These dyes penetrate to the very core of the cotton and linen fibres, ensuring excellent colour stability over time and remarkable resistance to light, UV rays and repeated washing, including with household detergents.

Every yarn and every shade undergoes rigorous testing to meet the Maison's quality standards. This exacting approach preserves the intensity, evenness and radiance of the colours over time, collection after collection.

Because technical performance and environmental responsibility go hand in hand, the dyes we use meet the strictest European environmental standards. Our dyeing partners regularly provide us with certificates attesting to their compliance. Finally, our creations are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring that regulated substances are controlled and limiting the use of components that may pose a risk to health or the environment at every stage of production.
