Description

AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION
Inspired by the architectural structures of his own buildings, Jean Michel Wilmotte retranscribes the lines of the frameworks with force on the fabric. In love with the material, the architect's vocabulary comes to life and the weaving is like a sketchbook. With its pure and contemporary lines, the collection invites you to gather around a beautiful table with a singular identity. Let's join the Club!

INSPIRATION
The Wilmotte & Industries design studio, through a work of composition, balance of forms and colors, strives to find the obviousness of the object, the sensuality of the material.
The research around the Jacquard was nourished by the identity of the architect, his artistic sensitivity but also his chromatic universe. He naturally revives the French art of weaving, which he had already invested in with passion in the 1980s and whose technicality and language he has mastered.
The patterns of the tablecloths and napkins reflect his projects. The Jacquard warp and weft threads intertwine, with precision and subtlety, to sketch the geometric pattern. We find the same constructive gesture in the architectural structure of the building and in the weave of the Jjacquard weaving; the two answer and harmonize to give place to an intimate, contemporary and confidential universe.

THE STAGES OF CREATION OF OUR PRODUCTS

From the creation of the designs to the making, a Le Jacquard Français product requires 15 manufacturing steps, all carried out with the greatest care and an infinite sense of detail, before coming to dress your home: creation, lisage (translation of the creations into Jacquard language stitch by stitch), selection of the best quality cotton and linen yarns, countertyping of the yarn colors according to the trends of the moment (about 60 per year), yarn dyeing (preferably great dyeing), winding (to limit yarn waste), inking, warping and reuniting (to make the warp), knotting and weaving, piece inspection (quality control of the fabrics), ennobling, and finally making up and packaging.

Today, thanks to our 53 looms, we compose a large number of original designs at a rate of two collections per year. Weavers, knotters, warpers, gluers, stitchers are all trades and gestures exercised with passion and for generations in our factory in Gérardmer, which conceive for you the most beautiful creations of Le Jacquard Français.
